“Nothing special.or boutique about the experience. Their boat is bigger than many other cruise provider and fully packed. The the audio narration couldn't be heard clearly due to poor quality stereo system. They definitely don't go as close to the falls or as many compared to southern discovery cruises. It's not a rip off but extra price is not justified.”

Me and my husband thought this tour was more spectacular than the north island caves too! Very intimate and intense with the water rushing inside. You also get to see the glow worms very close up.”

“This is the 2nd time I’ve taken family members on this cruise. The Captain took great pride and care to entertain us and explore Milford Sound. Because Mitre Peak Cruises uses smaller vessels, they are able to get up close and personal with wildlife and demonstrations. Ever ride a cruise boat bow under a waterfall? We did! See a mother fur seal with her pup? We did! How about a Crested Penguin? We saw one also! Great explanations, interesting facts and information regarding history and biodiversity. Ask and see why the color of the water changes from inside the sound and the Tasman Sea. I would highly recommend this cruise…”

“Cancelled at last minute, due to heavy rain leading to too high tide. Couldnt re-book due to other commitments that day. Told by RealNZ to sort out refund directly with Viator as bought through a third party. To be fair, although I had to phone Viator to get a response from Customer Service, the nice lady did this really quickly once she had phoned RealNZ to get confirmation that the tour had been cancelled. Quite an inconvenience all round, but all sorted in the end.”
